Bike Rehab Rehome Project: A Community Effort

The Lincoln Police Activities League (LPAL) recently received several bikes in good condition that needed some repairs. Thanks to the generosity of Lincoln Cyclery (Monster Joe’s Mobile Bike Service), each bike was expertly tuned up at a cost of $50 per bike. LPAL strives to cover this cost whenever possible.

How Students Are Selected: Teachers help us identify deserving students who could benefit from receiving a bike, especially those who have no other form of transportation to get to school.

How You Can Help: To ensure each student receives not only a bike but also a helmet and a bike lock, LPAL covers an additional cost of about $30 per bike for a total of $80.
